In the last two years, you've likely encountered rampant misinformation across social media with claims of voter fraud and a stolen election. Elections are run in thousands of counties, cities, and towns across America, each of them with a slightly different procedure or way of doing things, but all with many dedicated public servants and lots of public and media observation.
In order to combat harmful mis- and disinformation, we're arming ourselves with useful tips so that we can spread accurate and good information about voting and election cycles. This interactive workshop is designed to give you practical tools to do just that within your own communities. It's free and open to any Mainers, regardless of social media or communications expertise.
This workshop is hosted by the League of Women Voters of Maine and ReThink Media, with special guests from Common Cause.
