This 90-minute, virtual workshop will provide an opportunity for participants to explore some key issues around media literacy, and to ask questions, discuss their concerns, and to begin to think about how we can work together to address those questions and concerns. Specifically, the workshop will examine the challenges we all face in navigating the complex world of news media, making sense of the deluge of information we confront each day, and understanding the different perspectives we may have as we engage with news and information. Since this workshop can only scratch the surface of an extremely complex topic, interested participants will be introduced to the possibility of future initiatives with deeper engagement.
