This Friday, May 2nd, at 11:00 am, the Veteran and Legal Affairs committee will be hearing a bill that has been proposed by our Youth Advocacy Team. 

LD 1446 will amend the Maine Constitution to lower the voting age to 16 for state and local elections. The League supports lowering the voting age after we conducted a study in 2023, a rigorous two-year process.
