Roe v. Wade - What's Going On???

Registration is closed for this event
The League of Women Voters Youth Council is offering a space for those who would like to further understand the legal repercussions and what the overturning of Roe v. Wade could mean for their rights and the rights of their friends and family.

If you’re anything like those of us in the Youth Council, you’re probably afraid right now. With the news constantly telling us this is the end of reproductive and privacy rights, you might feel as if there’s nowhere to turn in this uncertain time. The League of Women Voters Youth Council is offering a space for those who would like to further understand the legal repercussions and what the overturning of Roe v. Wade could mean for their rights and the rights of their friends and family. This is intended to be a youth-centered space and while anyone is welcome to attend, be prepared to listen to and learn from young voices as they share their perspectives on Roe v. Wade.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask a guest expert any questions they have about the legal structures in play, the possible implications if Roe is overturned, and what links all these different civil rights issues together.
